Okay so the past couple of days here it just has been snowing non stop. We got quite a bit over the weekend, but last night it just dumped it on us. This morning when Damon was leaving for work he came into the bedroom where I was still sleeping and told me I need to wake up so I can start shoveling. I was thinking okay whatever, its not that bad. Damon made me look outside and I couldn't believe what my eye's saw. There was at least and I do mean AT LEAST a good foot of FRESH SNOW! I know Emma you are so jealous right now thinking of the nice powder up at the ski hill, it is amazing powder right now. So anyway I spent a good 40minutes outside shoveling the steps, walkway, and around the car, hopefully I won't get stuck. I really don't mind shoveling, its a good workout. I just can't believe how much snow we have gotten, I don't think we have had this much for about 5 years, they even cancelled school and they NEVER cancel school. And the crazy thing is that it is still snowing outside. So who knows how much we will get by the end of the day. Hope those people who are complaining about the 50 degree weather are staying nice and warm(you know who you are).

Nasty, nasty storm.
So yesterday (Friday), we had the worst weather in southern Oregon. Wind gusts were up to 70mph, I thought my house was going to be blown away. Luckily my house wasn't blown away but it came pretty close. I'm sitting in our house and I keep on hearing something banging up against the house. At first I thought it was our dog Red's dog house, so I looked out the window and what did I see (no popcorn popping, that's for sure) but some of the siding of the house. The wind had ripped of the siding, I couldn't believe it. I was so afraid that we were going to have to start this big unplanned project. Luckily Damon was able to fix it with a guy from church. Apparently it wasn't that hard to fix which is always nice for Damon. The wind was blowing so hard in Lakeview though that power lines went down, roofs came of, siding came of, trees came down. It was quite the storm.

I can't believe that it is almost the new year, time has really flown by. Well we had a great Christmas, nothing to big, which is nice, just spending time with my parents and little sister. Olivia really did quite well with some gifts from the grandparent, the big hit was the doll stroller she got she loves it. I'll have to get photos of her playing with it later. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and a very happy new year. The little girl with Livi on the sofa is Maile, Livi's friend from church. Maile is smiling, she thinks that's how you do it, so cute.

Happy Birthday Damon!
So today is Damon's birthday and he is 25! WOOHOO we can rent a car now. So I planned this great dinner for his birthday, it all started out pretty good. I got a pot boiling with some water and put in some potatoes to boil. Well when Damon came home from work I had to run to the store to get some stuff I needed for the dinner. I forgot to tell Damon about the potatoes that were boiling. I open the door calling for him to help me carry in groceries, but I am quickly distracted by smoke that I am smelling. I ask Damon whats smoking, he hadn't even smelled it. He goes and looks in the kitchen and sees that my potatoes had run out of water and are burnt to the bottom of the pan. I was not very happy about it and it was totally my fault. I had no idea that could even happen. Oh well, I just started all over and made a very yummy dinner without that mishap. My parents got quite that kick out of it. Damon did have a great birthday though.
