We're in Utah

Well we have finally made it to Utah. We got here last Tuesday after two very long days of driving through some not so nice conditions. Damon drove the u-haul, my mom drove our car, I drove my parents suburban (so Olivia could watch movies) and my dad drove the our second car. We are slowly getting unpacked, one room at a time. I had forgotten how much stuff that we had after being in storage for 7 months. The first night that we got here we were amazed at how friendly everyone was. About 5 men from church came over to help unpack, the Relief Society presidency from our ward just stopped by to introduce themselves, and we've had two ladies who live on the street come and bring us by cookies. I just couldn't believe it. We are really liking Eagle Mountain so far, it is far enough away from all the stores and traffic that I don't feel like I'm living in a bustling city. We went to church on Sunday and it is HUGE! I have never been to this big of a ward before. We were told that there are 700 members, with about half showing up on Sunday. They have 3 nurseries, which is so different to the 3 kids that we have in the Lakeview nursery. Olivia is going to be so entertained just watching all the kids. Friday night we went out to dinner with my parents and my sister Megan and her "friend" Davin, to celebrate my birthday, which was the next day on the 14th, yup that's right Valentines baby. We went to this yummy restaurant called Tocanos. It was so good. Then on Saturday, Damon and I were able to go on a date and go to a movie. We went and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was really funny, I have read all of those books so it was fun to see how they would adapt it into a movie, not as good as the book, but still really funny. Our week has been pretty busy and we have been going to bed so early because we are so exhausted. Damon starts school on Thursday, he had a orientation last Friday, so he came home knowing more of what to expect. We are really glad that we have come here and are ready for this new adventure.

You had quite the caravan driving out to Utah, I'm glad you made it safe. I think your ward is big even by Utah standards. Tell Damon good luck in school.
