I can't believe that it is almost the new year, time has really flown by. Well we had a great Christmas, nothing to big, which is nice, just spending time with my parents and little sister. Olivia really did quite well with some gifts from the grandparent, the big hit was the doll stroller she got she loves it. I'll have to get photos of her playing with it later. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and a very happy new year. The little girl with Livi on the sofa is Maile, Livi's friend from church. Maile is smiling, she thinks that's how you do it, so cute.

Happy Birthday Damon!

So today is Damon's birthday and he is 25! WOOHOO we can rent a car now. So I planned this great dinner for his birthday, it all started out pretty good. I got a pot boiling with some water and put in some potatoes to boil. Well when Damon came home from work I had to run to the store to get some stuff I needed for the dinner. I forgot to tell Damon about the potatoes that were boiling. I open the door calling for him to help me carry in groceries, but I am quickly distracted by smoke that I am smelling. I ask Damon whats smoking, he hadn't even smelled it. He goes and looks in the kitchen and sees that my potatoes had run out of water and are burnt to the bottom of the pan. I was not very happy about it and it was totally my fault. I had no idea that could even happen. Oh well, I just started all over and made a very yummy dinner without that mishap. My parents got quite that kick out of it. Damon did have a great birthday though.

Well I know it has been a long time since the last post. We have been so busy though, I think the closer it gets to Christmas the crasier it gets. Olivia and I had a great time going to Wales. It was great seeing my grandparents. The picture of Livi with the little girl and boy that is Grace and James they are my cousin Chris's kids. Aren't they so cute. The church picture, was the church my grandparents were married in. Then there is a picture of Livi and I with my grandad(that is my dad's dad), and my nanny(my mom's mom).

I'm leaving on a jet plane..

Okay so if you don't see any posts from me in the next couple of weeks its because I'll be in England (actually Wales) visiting the relatives. Olivia and I are getting to go with my parents on their anual trip over to check on their parents. Poor Damon he has to stay home and work :( Livi and I are really going to miss him. This is the longest we will have been apart since his mission. I'm really excited though to go and see my grandparents. Really the only reason I get to go is because of Livi, my dad would take her without me if he knew that wouldn't put me into hysterics. Hope everyone has a great couple of weeks, and I'll be sure to come back with lots of photos.

My Darling Girl..

Every day I am just amazed at how incredible Olivia is. Today we were outside playing with the dogs and next thing I know she has climbed up on the fence and is looking out at the road waving to the passing cars. She is just so sweet, I love how she can make something so simple so special.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a great time playing snarf with the Barfuss family. Any who, here are the latest photos of Olivia. I was doing laundry and she really wanted to help load the clothes. She really is becoming a great little helper.

MY Heart Will Go On...

Okay so my dad is the absolute best dad in the world. For those who don't know I am a huge Celine Dion fan, HUGE, I love, love her. Well she is going on tour next year and tickets went on sale today, so of course I started looking at tickets just hopeing. Well I told my dad about it also and he likes all her songs too, and he decided to get tickets for all of us, me, damon, dad, mom and megs. The concert we are going to is in Salt Lake on November 21, 2008. I think I am going to start a countdown on the blog for it. I'm so excited I can barely type I'm shaking. Now I just have to find a babysitter for Livi that day, its a Thursday, so anybody in Utah that would like to babysit a adorable little girl in a year, let me know. OH I'm so excited I love my dad he is the best. THANKS DAD, I LOVE YOU!

Pictures, and lots of them!

Okay so here are some photos from Florida. We had a great time going to the beach and going to this really neat butterfly conservatory. It was so amazing with hundreds of butterflies just fluttering around. It was great seeing Emma and Steve and little Betty Jane. She was so cute and such a little wiggler. Olivia loved to give her hugs and kisses all the time and was actually really good with her. Key West has so many neat things to go and see, I just wish we would have had more time to see everything. We defentitly had a good time but are glad to be back home. Enjoy the photos, sorry for how many there are just thought you might want to see a bit of everything. Oh and the ones with Livi in the BYU outfit were on Halloween.

We made it..

After a very long flight home yesterday, we made it back to Lakeview safe and sound. Olivia did great she only got a little fussy on the last flight because we had no milk to give her. We were under the impression that the airline would provide milk, but they didn't have any. I wasn't very happy about that, Olivia loves her milk. Oh well we survived. In other news Olivia also turned 18 months yesterday, which means she can be in NURSERY and we are so excited. YAY! I can't belieive my little baby girl is old enough for that, but it will make Sundays so much easier for Damon and I. I promise I will post pictures from our trip soon, today is spent unpacking, ugg.

New Church Calling

So on Sunday I recieved a new calling, I'm now the second counslor in the young women presidency. Before I was the secretary in young womens. It is a bitter sweet calling, the main reason for the change in the presidency is the fact that the first counselor is (before the change)battling breast cancer right now. Nini is only 28 years old, and has one of the worst cases of breast cancer you can get. Her and her family have moved to Utah to be closer to family and for her to recieve her treatments. They are planning on being gone a year for treatment. She will be greatly missed in the young womens, she brought so much insight to the group and she has such a powerfull testamony, she has taught me so much in the short amount of time I have known her. I am amazed by her strength, through all the nasty treatment she is going through she still has a smile on her face, and is still able to take care of her 4 small children. Nini is such an inspiration to me, and I am so grateful for our friendship. So like I was saying, we had to do some rearranging. I'm excited for this calling, I love working with the young women, they are so fun to watch and it is great when you can see growth in them. Now I just need to get more creative for my lessons on Sundays.

Who Are You?

:: M A R I A N N E ::

You are Marianne Dashwood of Sense & Sensibility! You are impulsive, romantic, impatient, and perhaps a little to vocal in your honesty. You enjoy romantic poetry and novels, and play the pianoforte beautifully. To boot, your singing voice is captivating. You feel deeply, and love passionately.

Olivia...

So I know I haven't put any new picture up lately, so I thought I would do some from the last couple of weeks that I think are so cute enjoy. Olivia is now 17 months old, one more month and she can go to nursery. We are so excited for that momentous occasion. Damon started school last month and seems to really like it right now, which I am very grateful for. I am working about four days a week depending on the clients I might have. It has been really slow lately, but I keep on having faith that it will pick up. We are going to start some projects around the house, I'm pretty excited to get started. I'll post pictures of the makeover later.

Tagged by Nicole and Emma!

10 years ago I:
was 12 years old, I had probably just finished a summer of swimteam. My favorite thing to do in the summer. I had just entered the seventh grade and had gotten braces on in the summer. Uuggh, I hated braces, love my teeth now, but middle school is not something I like to remeber.

5 years ago I:
had just started my senior year of high school. Life was so much simpler, football games, movie parties, just hanging out with friends and not worrying about bills and what am I going to cook for dinner.

1 year ago I:
I was in Utah for parents weekend at BYU, I went with my parents to visit my sister Megan and my sister Emma flew in as a surprise. Damon was able to come to which was good for him cause he got to hang out with his brothers. Olivia was 5 months old, she was so little. Going to Utah was the longest she had ever been in the car, and she did pretty good, she was such a good baby, and is still a good little girl for the most part.

Yesterday I:
Livi and I just hung out around the house and attempted to clean the house and watched conference. Also I went through all my clothes and got rid of a ton, like 6 boxes worth. I've been in a crazy organizing stage, it is getting to cold to work outside so I have moved into the house.

5 snacks I enjoy:
chips and salsa, Udderly Chocolate Ice cream with bananas( i haven't always been a huge ice cream fan but I love this stuff), POPCORN-love it, any kind, cheesecakes(just my moms though, it is delecious), Kelly Barfuss breadrolls-yummy.

5 things I would do if I had $100 million:
Pay of our house, buy Damon a new truck and climbing gear, buy me a nice big family car(not sure what type). Fix up my house and expand it. Pay of all debt, pay of all of Damon's school. Invest it. Make college funds for all of our future kids and Livi. Get a tummy tuck(i know pretty lame, but after baby belly is not the same as it used to be). Lots of more things I would do with the money, obvisouly I have thought about this quit a bit.

5 places I would love to run away to:
Caymen Islands, Oregon Coast, Paris, Wales(manly my Grandad Ron's house, I love that place), Alaska.

5 TV Shows I like:
Greys Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, House, Journey Man, Lost.

5 things I hate doing:
Dishes-loading the dishwasher, Folding Laundry, Cleaning bathtubs, changing the sheets-it is such a pain to do by yourself,

5 biggest joys of the moment:
Damon and Olivia, I love being a wife and a mother. Olivia is so amazing I just love watching her mind work, I couldn't imagine my life without her. Getting oraganized, I know corny, but I just love feeling like I have order in my life. Knowing the Damon and I still can make eachother laught, we have only been married 2 and a half years, but sometimes it can get rough and it is nice we can still laugh at eachother. The Gospel it is such a blessing to know that my family is forever.

People to Tag: no pressure - only if you feel like it! Jenna, Anita, and Rachel.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy birthday dad, hope you have a great day and a fun time in Utah. We love you !
This is a video of my dad and Livi this time last year. I just love it.

Oh clothes...

So Olivia loves clothes and shoes, especially shoes. She's just like her mom. Well the other day we found her in our bedroom going through my clothes. She loves to do that, I don't let her very often because all she does is pull all my clothes out and leave a big mess. Since she had already started we figured what the heck, let her at it. Here are some photos of her having fun playing dress up. Enjoy!

My Husband is Wonderful!

Yesterday I was so sick, barely move of the couch sick. Damon being the great guy that he is stepped up to the plate and took great care of Livi and I. Damon works evenings so he doesn't do the bedtime routine very often. Here are some pictures of him wrestling Livi, getting her ready for bed. He is such a great husband and father and I don't give him enough credit. I just love him.

The Beginning of Us.

1. Where did you meet?
We met when I was a sophomore in high school and Damon was a senior. His family had just moved to Lakeview for his dad's job. We met on a Wednesday night a mutual(youth group).

2. What was the 1st thing you said to him?
Are you guys the twins? I had heard his family was moving to town, and I was very excited to hear that they had teenage boys, twin teenage boys!

3. What was your 1st Date?
I don't think we really had a first "date", we just started hanging out with each other. I guess if we did have a first date it probably would have been at the Indian Village, chicken strips with ranch. The best.

4. Where was your 1st Kiss?
In my bedroom, after we had just watched the movie Never Been Kissed. Damon was my very first kiss, 16 and never been kissed.

5. Did we have a long courtship/engagement?
Yes, we dated about a year and a half before Damon left for his mission. Then he was gone for two years. He came home in May 2004, and pretty much when he came home we knew were going to get married. We were engaged about 8 months maybe longer. We were married May 2005.

6. Where did you get engaged?
In Damon's apartment. Damon wasn't big on proposing because he said we already knew we were getting married. I told him that he had to propose, so one night we were hanging around and he just asked me if I would marry him. I said yes of course. I should have told him "no" and make him come up with a better proposal. Knowing Damon he never would have asked me again if I had done that.

7. How did your reception go?
Our receptions were good. We had two because we were married in Utah, so we had one after the wedding, a small luncheon. About a month after we were married we had one in Lakeview. I told my mom she could do whatever she wanted, it turned out very nice and simple. It was fun to see everyone.

8. How was your honeymoon?
It was great! We went to the Oregon coast for a week and my parents had gotten us a condo. We just went sight seeing and hung out at the beach and ate at yummy restaurants. It was just so relaxing just like a honeymoon should be.

PEEK-A-BOO

This is one of Olivia's favorite games, sometimes she will just be sitting on the floor and start saying "boo". Here she is in her crib after a nap and thought it would be so much fun to play with mommy. She is our little actress whenever she can put on a show, she does. She is also our little tornado, but that is for another time. We just can't get over how cute she is!
